Wednesday 3rd of October kicked-off of the eagerly awaited Enemy tour and the Luke team were happy to be there in force. The day started at sound check and we managed to hook up with the guys backstage at the O2 Academy Oxford. The afternoon passed with the guys in a real happy mood, happy to be back on tour, performing live; one of the strong points of the trio for anyone who’s seen them in action. For me one of the highlights of the sound check was Tom doing a rendition of the Verves ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’ to end the session, pure class.
At 8.30pm Andy, Liam and Tom bounded onto the stage and started the nights proceedings at 1000mph, the pace never really slowed all night! Tracks like ‘Gimme the Sign’ from their third and most current album ‘Streets in the Sky,’ were equally appreciated alongside classics including ‘We Live and Die in these Towns.’ The anthemic classic ‘This Song’ was sang solo by the crowd for a good 10 minutes prior to the encore; this clearly energised the boys who seemed to be happy amongst their loyal fans.
Luke has always loved the band and when we had the chance to work with Andy Hopkins the base player, it was a no brainer. So, the two have collaborated on an ‘On Tour’ clothing collection. The capsule range is made up of the type of styles that Andy normally wears, but given the usual Luke twist. Andy has developed the range alongside Luke from the start and has added lots of his own personal touches. He will be wearing the collection on the latest Enemy Tour and this new range will then be available in selected online and Luke own and partner stores at the end of October.
The collection is very much LTD edition and we recommend getting in store early or reserving online from today.
